In my work as a teaching artist since 1994, I have taught in school systems, led group workshops and classes for adults and young people, and provided individual coaching. Topics include monologue development, vocal performance,16-bar musical theatre performance cuts, auditioning technique, and method acting. I incorporate various methods into my teaching style primarily focusing on Uta Hagen, Viewpoints, and Stella Adler.
Currently, I am not taking on additional full-time students but do schedule sessions to work with actors on audition prep. The sessions include finding the best material for the actor and for the show style, assisting with the musical cut preparation for the accompanist if applicable, coaching on the audition performance and providing tips for the audition process as a whole. Often, this will be a two to four session process.
